Getting your documents right is the most important part of a successful application. Your Paideia adviser reviews every document before submission — but this checklist helps you prepare in advance.

Your adviser will tell you exactly what is required based on your nationality, qualifications, and chosen programme. Some nationalities or programmes may require additional documents.

UWS & Presidency University

University of the
West of Scotland

Documents required to apply to UWS through Paideia. Your adviser reviews every document before submission

  • Valid passport — Biographical data page. Must be valid for the duration of your studies.

  • Academic transcripts — All secondary and/or university results to date. Official, stamped copies.

  • Academic certificates / diplomas — Graduation certificates for all completed qualifications.

  • Certified translations — Required if documents are not in English.

  • English language evidence — IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or accepted alternative. See your course page for thresholds.

  • Personal statement — Typically 500–800 words on why you want to study this programme.

  • Academic or professional reference — Typically one reference from a teacher, lecturer, or employer.

  • Undergraduate degree certificate and full transcript

  • CV — Summarising academic and professional background.

  • Professional experience evidence — Where relevant to the programme.

  • Research proposal — Typically 500–1,500 words outlining your proposed research.

  • Two academic references — From supervisors or lecturers familiar with your research capability.

Presidency
University, Bangalore

Documents required to apply to Presidency University through Paideia. Your adviser reviews everything before submission and guides you through post-arrival registration — free.

  • Valid passport — Must be valid for at least 1 year beyond intended graduation.

  • Academic transcripts — 10th and 12th standard (or equivalent) and/or university results.

  • Academic certificates — Passing certificates and mark sheets for all completed qualifications.

  • Certified translations — Required if documents are not in English.

  • English language evidence — IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL iBT 80+ or proof of English-medium education.

  • Passport-size photographs — Typically 4–6 recent photographs. Specifications at application stage.

  • Undergraduate degree certificate and transcript

  • Work experience letter — If relevant to the programme.

  • Valid Indian student visa — Obtained before travel. See Visa Guidance page.

  • Residential permit / address proof — In Bangalore.

  • Original admission letter — From Presidency University.

  • Student ID card issued by Presidency
